Survival Training Website Does Not Bash Immigrants Joseph Parish I formulated this website from scratch. I built it up little by little and in no way were there ever any procedures established to engage in immigrant bashing. Nothing contained within the agenda of this site should be construed as advocating any sort of intimidating measures or negative feelings regarding immigrant Americans. We are of the opinion that even illegal aliens warrant humane treatment as they are detected, detained and deported. Regrettably, to address and write regarding the associated problems of illegal immigration leads to the hazard of appearing to condemn immigrants themselves. An even worse situation would be the threat of unconsciously encouraging another American to demonstrate resentment toward foreigners as a group. I am not a Native American so somewhere along my ancestral line I too had immigrants that came to America seeking a better life, however and I repeat however this migration into America was in absolute compliance with the American Immigration laws. My ancestors did not slither into the country by jumping a fence at the boarder. They did not hide within the confined darkness of a box truck heading into diverse parts of America. So you can appreciate that I too have a very personal involvement in immigrant reform. This website does not desire to provoke resentment or bigotry toward foreign born individuals who already are residing among us. When we address the issue of immigrant numbers we are not addressing the individual immigrants in this country. Rather, the intention of the topic is about deciding how many foreign citizens living in their own countries right now should be permitted to immigrate in the future. Never is it intended to even remotely insinuate that no immigrants are scoundrels or contribute to troubles of immigration for reasons of their bad personal conduct. It is not unmerited, nor does it signify immigrant bashing, to criticize the behavior of explicit immigrants who violate our laws or otherwise conduct themselves in a manner unworthy of guests who have been invited into my country. It IS on the other hand immigrant bashing to attribute those shocking characteristics to complete groups of individuals based merely upon their ethnicity or the fact that they are foreign-born. We should all be watchful of the language we utilize so as not to unconsciously appear to be making such damaging generalizations. However, DelMarVa Survival Training Site will not be silent on the focus of immigration and the crucial reforms considered necessary nor will we be accused of immigrant bashing purely because we assert our opinion on the issues. lion more immigrants into their occupations, schools and communities. |
