H.R. 6257: Assault Weapons Ban Reauthorization Act of 2008

Would anyone care to place a bet as to what will happen to this bill? A likely scenario would be that it gets  tacked onto the end of another bill the right before or right after the inauguration, or perhaps shortly after some lame terrorist attack? What concerns me, is everyone is going out and buying every gun that's available. Unless you buy that toy via private party (fat chance), then I'm afraid that they may have fallen into a trap. They will then have a nice list of places to hit first. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I don' t discount too much anymore.
