Greece-An Example of How Fast Things
Can Devolve Two Athens Police Officers,
Epaminondas Korkoneas and Vassilious Saraliotis have been
criminally charged in the killing of a 15 year old boy
named, Andreas Grigoropoules. Officer Korkoneas fatally
shot Grigoroloules after he claimed the boy and a group
of about thirty youths were throwing firebombs and other
objects at the Officers and shouting that they "were
going to kill them."
Since the death of the kid, Greece has been besieged with
violent unrest. While purporting that the cause of this
protest was the death of Grigoropoules various other
groups have infiltrated the protests to further their own
cause. The labor unions, socialists and anarchists have
all used the boy's death as an excuse to further their
aims.
The labor unions have brought the country to a standstill
and the socialists have called for the conservative
government to resign. Meanwhile, the anarchists have been
stockpiling Molotov Cocktails and rocks to hurl at the
Police.
An important thought to note is that the majority of this
unrest is being carried out by students who fall into the
age category of 15 -24 years old.
As the economy continues to deteriorate in America and
jobs disappear you must understand that this age group
will be the source of alot of trouble here.
Traditionally, areas that have a large youth population
and unusually high unemployment often see in increase in
the crime rates along with more protests and looting.
Unless there is a dramatic turnaround in the U.S. expect
to see Greece-Like conditions spread like wildfire across
Main Street, U.S.A. Original at:
