Where will you go?
Many people are a bit uncomfortable with the results of
the November election and as such have considered a
possible relocation to a foreign nation. Many have
expressed a notion for possibly traveling to Mexico or to
one of the South American countries. A few have said that
they are seer5iously considering Australia as a future
home.
I read their ideas and felt that I would write this
article on my thoughts.
First off Mexico would not be one of the best choices.
The gun laws in Mexico are simply crazy. Owning land in
the country can be a real pain as they have specific
rules for any foreigner's and it can be a very bad
experience for you. twisted. The police, the Mexican army
and the local road gangs would not be too much fun to
play with. (keep in mind that you would not have any gun
for protection there). Kidnapping in Mexico is currently
on the rise. I know of one person who's father in law's
half brother was kidnapped this past week, He merely was
in the wrong place at the wrong time and he was not even
the actual person that they where going after.
Unfortunately for him he the uncle of the local Zacatecas
Hefe which is similar to the Mafia Godfather. To make a
long story short they are now negotiating for his Ransom
and ultimate release. If you have a local Spanish channel
you can watch the news and you will see this is not a
good idea.
South America is very similar in just about all of the
countries. Those which are not Leftist have Leftist
Terrorist groups as well as bandit tribes that would be
extremely happy to capture or kidnap a Gringo. Those
countries that may possibly work for you unfortunately
are gun free and you could not get a gun legally. Chile,
Costa Rica and perhaps Belize. I have known of Mennonite
and Amish groups that live in Belize and they speak
highly of the place however the trouble is still where
will you get a gun. If you obtain one on the black market
you risk imprisonment and trust me prison in the third
world countries does not sound all that much fun.
Now you say that there is still Australia. Well I have
been there while serving in the Marines. My ex Girl
friend decided to moved there about 10 years ago. It is
no problem for her as she loves it there but she is also
a gun hater and a firm liberal. Another point is do you
have a skill which they want as they still use the Job
skill and prior hire as part of there immigration
policies.
Going abroad really will not help you in the least unless
you can buy your own little island off in some remote
location but let's be honest who has the money to
purchase and setup an island to be self reliant?
So in conclusion you can see that these options really do
not work so it is better to prepare sensibly and use
common sense here in America. Original
