Biden's lack of support for our troops is obvious

A letter to the editor found in the New Journal for Saturday October 18th.

Buzz up! My husband has deployed out of New Castle six times between 2003 and 2008. His unit has deployed multiple times since Sept. 11. Sen. Tom Carper, Rep. Mike Castle and Gov. Ruth Ann Minner have all been present at send offs for his unit. Not once has Sen. Joe Biden bothered to show up. He was always too busy.

I am enraged to see he managed to show up to send off Beau Biden on his deployment. It speaks volumes about his character that he can carve time out of his busy campaign schedule now, because it is his son who is now deploying.

What a great photo opportunity for an aspiring vice presidential candidate, draping himself in the American flag at a deployment ceremony for his son.

I have never voted for Joe Biden, simply based on his lack of support for the troops. This does nothing to change my opinion. My vote is for John McCain, who actually served his country.
