Emergency Shelters" By Joseph Parish. Often people complain that they can not
take their animals into emergency shelters. As many persons become displaced
from their homes during times of crisis and they are relocated in evacuation
centers one of their major gripes is not being able to bring their pets with
them. Click here
February 28, 2009 - "Ramblings on gates and
limiting access" Here is a great article on limiting access to
secure your immediate area. Many criminals simply drive around the
neighborhood and look for an easy mark. I have studied
break ins in my AO and have noticed that the places
that limit the getaway car from being able to pull up
to the front door and load up the goodies were usually
safe. I have advised neighbors to do such and some have
taken my advice, some have ignored it and others only
understood 'half' of what I recommended.

February 27, 2009 - "The
X Cargo Roof Top Carriers and bugging out" By Joseph Parish. Often times we
drive down the highway and make a mental note of one of the cargo roof top
carrier which appears on many of the vehicles that we pass. At once we start to
wonder as to the value of these items during a possible bug out situation. Would
they benefit us? Do they have any sort of merit in survival? These are questions
which we need to answer.

they would rather see product reviews. Or just about anything that they wish to
have on the site. Do you want a classified section? Would you use it?

February 26, 2009 - "Severe Weather
Week Begins" By Joseph Parish. It is that time of the year again! Around the
nation many of our cities and states are making the necessary preparations to
launch the severe weather week. Sever weather can strike just about any location
in our nation and does so usually without warning of any sort. It is not
restricted to the southern portion of our country or to the Midwest. We can at
any time encounter hurricanes, tornados, flooding and a host of other
inflections from mother nature without so much as a simple warning.

Preparedness and Survival: Why Sanitation is So Important!" If I were to ask you
to identify the most significant medical breakthrough in the past 150 years, how
would you answer? For most of us we immediately think of high-profile medical
advances, such as the discovery of penicillin and antibiotics, or the invention
of the X-ray, the realization that we are products of a basic structure called
DNA, the elimination of major disease processes such as smallpox, plague, and
others, or the incredible life-saving virtues of automatic de-fibrillation,
transplants, and others.

we be able to provide for our loved ones properly? There are more questions then
we have answers for. Under the expected circumstances all we can do is guess as
to what our actions will be.

By Massad Ayoob. Can you use lethal force in self-defense against a rapist? The
answer, of course, is yes. Deadly force is permissible only in a situation of
"immediate, otherwise unavoidable danger of death or great bodily harm." No
victim of rape has ever submitted unless the attacker clearly or implicitly gave
her (or, sometimes, him) the choice of compliance or "immediate, otherwise
unavoidable danger of death or great bodily harm." These concepts mesh rather
clearly. Click here

sitting among the various survival groups you often hear it said that someone is

short and the long term storage should be the quantity of products that are
