February 26, 2008 - Quick Introduction to Ice fishing" By
Joseph Parish. I have never been a great devotee of winter time weather and as
such I haven’t leaped at the opportunity to engage in ice fishing. The dilemma
that I foresee is that as a survivalist I must be prepared for any types of
situation even if these circumstances happen to occur in the middle of winter.
So with this thought in mind I ended up going winter fishing.

February 26, 2008 - Several people have asked me why I keep
bashing Obama. I am not bashing him I am merely concerned about my country and I
do not feel he has our best interests at heart. His voting record clearly shows
he cannot make decisions - he avoids them. His background is fuzzy to say the
least. But I will in the end able to say "Don't blame me - I didn't vote for
him."
February 26, 2008 - Much as been said about Obama's Muslim links
but here is an article written by Dr. Jack Wheeler that readers may find
interesting called The audacity of apostasy Barack Obama’s Muslim links.

not make a decision? Here is his voting record in Congress.

February 26, 2008 - Find out what this potential first lady
really thinks of the system. Here is a copy of Michelle Obama's senior year
thesis at Princeton University.
Part 1,
Part 2,
Part 3,
Part 4, Incidentally don't try to find it as Princeton has removed it until after the elections. Why
is this thesis restricted? Could it have a bit of racist overtones? You decide.
February 26, 2008 - In view of the picture taken in Kenya of Barack
Hussein Obama we can see now why he refuses to place his hand on his heart
when hearing the National Anthem.

February 25, 2008 - Do you want this man as your President? This
photo taken in 2006, shows the Democrat front-runner Senator Barack Hussein Obama

hard to beat are the ever popular kitchen Zip-Lock bags. These precious little
gems are invaluable when it comes to survival preparations. I have enclosed
several uses that I have found for these inexpensive items. Read my article on "The Incredible non editable zip lock bag".

February 20, 2008 - "Horseradish
from Field to Table" By Joseph Parish. Horseradish is cultivated for its
dense, fleshy white, hard root. When ready for processing it displays a coarse
yellowish-brown skin with a pale fleshy body. This member of the mustard family
matures to about twelve inches long and is shaped somewhat as a carrot. The
roots are usually absent of the characteristic pungent bite and aroma until the
contained oil is released by grating and it then easily brings forth tears to
ones eyes. When horseradish is prepared fresh from the root it has a much
sharper zest than its commercially prepared cousin.

19, 2008 - "Bug out Games for Kids when on an exercise" By Joseph Parish. When
assessing your Bug out procedures and you are in the process of having an actual
exercise, it is always necessary to try to put ourselves into the place of our
children. Let us face it we as adults can converse with each other during the
trip however often times the children are stuck in the back seat of our BOV with
nothing whatsoever to do. To me this is very unacceptable. Not only does it turn
the children off to the concept of survival but it also does not teach them
anything but contempt for emergency actions.

19, 2008 - "Bug Out Journals How to learn from your mistakes" By Joseph Parish.
Every survivalist should practice and rehearse what they will actually do should
the emergency ever occurs. Being prepared is the main key to survival and the
only means by which we can obtain this necessary proficiency is to practice.
Every time we execute a practice exercise, we discover that we have forgotten
something or we recognize that we need to add something to our BOB or to the BOV.
This is not a predominantly lethal dilemma - At this time! It could very well be
if we were in an actual situation.

16, 2008 - "Survival Kit Made From the Dollar Tree Store" By Joseph Parish.
Survival kits can be fabricated from a sizeable assortment of materials often
times consisting of items that may frequently be found within ones home or
inexpensively purchased from your local “Dollar Tree” store. It is not essential
for one to rush to the local department store in order to purchase bits and
pieces for use in those times when you feel threaten with either a natural or a
manmade emergency. The simple list which I have created here will be sufficient
for those last minute emergency situations. All these items can be purchased at
your local “Dollar Tree” store.

purposes of fishing and water transportation. However, they have managed to
become status symbols over a period of time. Here is also a short piece on

people couldn't or didn't escape the wrath of Hurricane
Katrina. More reports come in about the disorganized relief
effort, the communications problems they're having and the
difficulty in getting survivors to safety even when they are

February 15, 2008 - We have a short review on the Kelty
Chinook Sleeping Bag. I'm not an arctic mountain climber or anything like that, but I do like to go on
extended canoe and camping trips with my wife. We both use the Kelty Chinook
sleeping bag (20 degree model) because it's easy to pack, keeps the water out
(even when we hit a little whitewater now and again) and keeps us both warm in
our tent from spring to fall. The decision was left up to me, and considering
myself a frugal man I was after the most bang for my buck. The Chinook has
proven to be the perfect sleeping bag because it isn't too hot for mid-summer
canoe trips but also keeps us nice and toasty into the early fall season.

"How to Survive a Winter Storm if You are Ever Exposed to One" Living in
extremely cold places poses a serious risk to those living in areas where
temperatures can drop dramatically. Northern US states, Canada, northern
European countries, Asia as well as countries in South America meet the
meteorological conditions which trigger winter storms. Drastic temperature drops
represent a serious hazard to anyone living in these areas who is not prepared
to handle such conditions and things just get worse when snow starts to fall.

"A Good Portable Wire Antenna" by Joseph Parish. When dealing with emergency
communications there is one simple item that you really must have and that is a
good communications antenna. Many survivalists have asked if there is such a
thing as a simple antenna made specifically for shortwave listening. The main
concern here is one, which could be transported in a backpack and rigged up in
only a couple of minutes. The basic principle here is the option of stringing it
up quickly between several trees.

"Joe’s Ten Essentials of Survival" By Joseph Parish.
We all have some sort of an idea what we would take with
us if we were going to be stranded on a deserted island
well you could look at the concept of survival
preparation in the same light. As Y2K approached, I was
determined not to take any chances and I was determined
not to be forced to live a life of a pauper if events
turned to the worst. I went out and purchased a 33-foot
motor home just for Y2K. Stocked it properly with various
foods including shrimp in the can, crab meat in the can
and lobster in the can. As I said, I was going out in
style. Several gallons of wine was purchased and stored
within the motor home. In addition, I placed the normal
array of survival foods and items in it. As the final
hours rolled near I filled, the water tanks with fresh
water and sat down to watch TV.
